I am an artist who primarily uses acrylic paints, and abstract is my preferred style. I draw with numerous materials and I am also able to sculpt.
I have been creative all my life, and thankfully my father seeing this always encouraged me to paint and draw. Right through my school years art classes were high on my agenda. After year 12 I attended the Canberra school of Art, which further encouraged me to keep up with my artistic endeavours. Over the years I have taken part in many group exhibitions as well as having my own solo exhibitions. As an artist I love being open to to many styles of creativity. At the moment I am particularly interested in painting with acrylic paints on canvas or board. You could say my natural style has always verged on the abstract, so that over the years I have gravitated more and more in this direction. The process of going in this particular direction has not always been a conscious act but something that comes naturally from within. A yearning and almost a magnetic pull towards total abstraction. Materials I use are predominantly acrylic paints, while also incorporating pencil, charcoal, coloured pencil and black pen. Usually I paint on canvas or board. I love what I do, and really no other activity inspires and engages me more.
