Combining mono printing, screen printing, drawing and painting to create work inspired by objects that have sentimental value and trigger memories or stories.
Shelley Pisani is a Bundaberg-based visual artist and arts worker. She loves to experiment with a range of mono printing and screen printing techniques on canvas, board, paper, fabric and ceramics.
Shelley studied visual art and education at the University of Souther Queensland before stepping out into a career in the ceramics industry. At the ripe old age of 23 she started her first business – a ceramic studio in Brisbane where she created handprinted slipcast ceramic ware for retail and wholesale as well as running surface decoration classes.
In the late 1990s she moved back to her hometown of Bundaberg to take up a position at the regional gallery, beginning a long career in arts administration. In 2018, she stepped away from a CEO role to reclaim her arts practice and establish the brand Ink Block Designs.
