Olga spends a great deal of time watching the world move around her. She tries to capture as much as she can in her memory and in quick sketches that she records later onto canvas. Olga explores her environment in unison with her feelings and experiences. Her intention is to create resonance and recognition in her viewers.
As an artist she reflects the world around her as well as her inner world. Olga’s work is often poetic in nature, with titles that bestow a deep significance into a simple sky, a moment captured or a feeling from the heart.
Olga’s style might vary from realism to abstraction to completely abstract pieces drawn from emotion. Her paint application is like handwriting. It is bold, confident and gestural, it is uniquely hers and recognisable. Each piece is a journey. She asks questions of herself and the viewer. The work delves into spaces that you forgot about, it clutches your heart just so that it can simply caress it and then carefully release it back to you.
