About Natasha Junmanee

Natasha Junmanee is a fine art painter based in Sydney, Australia. She completed diploma and advanced diploma in visual arts from TAFE NSW and has a bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts (Fine Arts) from Federation University.

“My work explores the beauty of still life from objects and things around my life. I am inspired by the classical still life paintings especially from the Dutch and Flemish school. My work often incorporates symbolic objects depicting the beauty of stillness, memory and transience. My concept is to create “Beauty” through the use of colour and composition that provokes thoughts on cultures, philosophies, place and time. Much of my work uses balanced composition with a sense of tranquillity. I am also inspired by the beauty of nature and flowers are one of my favourite subjects to paint. My painting style is realism and I paint predominantly in oil using traditional technique.”

She was a finalist of Ravenswood Art Prize, Hunters Hill Art Exhibition, Blacktown City Art Prize, Hunters Hill Art Exhibition, The Fisher’s Ghost Art Award, City of Ryde Woman Art Prize, St George Art Award and Hornsby Art Prize. She won several awards including first prize in the Parramatta Foundation Week Art Awards, Second prize in Still life competition of The Australian Artist Magazine and second prize in oil section from the Parramatta Open Art Awards.

Last year, her work was featured on The Block 2019 in Mitch and Mark’s butler pantry.
