Art works as catalyst that sifts facts from assumptions and blends these with imagination so that fresh meaning could be created. Especially, it encourages the people to turn their thoughts and imagination according to the meaning they bring to a piece of art.
My passion for art started in early childhood when I showed great interest in drawing and painting which led to having all my paintings going up on school walls one by one.
Right after finishing High School, I was more determined than ever and it was here when I realised that I wanted to pursue my career in this field so I got into Bachelor of Arts in one of the universities in Belgium. In 1998 I graduated with honours in Master of Art in Belgium, Hasselt.
After my graduation, I started working as an Art director and had the honour to work with disabled kids, helped them to express their feelings through Art, colours to let go of their fear and anger and at the same time having fun.
2 years later, I decided to expand my horizons by moving to Italy. In a very short time Florence became my home where I learned more about living the life in one of the most artistic cities in the world. The Place where Michelangelo was born and became one of the most famous Artist in the history.
In 2008, I migrate to Australia where I started a new chapter of my life. Australia was very different to what I experienced in the past. Different than all the countries I travelled, explored and lived. With all its untouched nature, diversity and beauty, Australia gave me the kind of peace and settled me down very quickly.
Although, with all the love and passion I have shown and all the desires I had and still have to be an Artist, I was pushed to a completely different direction. I am now living in Adelaide and work as a retail manager who loves merchandising and direct contact with people. But at the same time, I use all my spare time working passionately on my art pieces. I fully immerse myself with each piece of art, and as a result each artwork has its own unique feel and its own story to tell. I believe that being an artist is something that one is born to do and not learned at school. What I did create for many years and try to express is closely related to my feelings in everyday life and what happens in the world.
“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can’t change, the courage to change the thing I can, and the wisdom to know the difference”. Reinhold Niebuhr
I express my fears, experience and places that I am still deeply connected to into the lines, colours and create a message that my audience can feel and connect to.
Most importantly the biggest and the most crucial responsibility of an artist is to assist people to understand the physical reality as well as the imaginary world. Art presents reality in a way that may change the vision and perspective of audience towards the world. Art works as catalyst that sifts facts from assumptions and blends these with imagination so that fresh meaning could be created. Especially, it encourages the people to turn their thoughts and imagination according to the meaning they bring to a piece of art.
