Born and raised in Coatbridge, a small working class town in the outskirts of Glasgow, Scotland, Martin Sullivan AKA Sully took to drawing and painting from a very early age. Showing great promise throughout his school days, he then went on to graduate from the Edinburgh College of Art with a BA Hons in visual communication. Sully now lives in Sydney.
Sully describes his work as abstract-geometric. Using heavy brush strokes overlaid with sharp lines, he pieces his subject matter together in a very unique way. He aims to shake things up in the art world with his original, stand out style and wants to showcase his versatility as an artist. He paints from a place of raw honesty and emotion. His work is a reflection of what he has been through in his life and how his life and his experiences has shaped him as a person.
