Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once she grows up.
I’m Louise (lu) recently relocated to the Scenic Rim Ranges, near Canungra in Queensland.
I started painting when I retired to get out of my head, to play in an upright position; a journey that has surpassed any expectations and become an enduring passion.
My creativity is inspired by a passion for ideas, words, a love of diversity, Mother Nature, the joy of playing on a blank canvas and a keen eye for the big picture.
Sleeping with a blank canvas on the easel awaiting a painting, fills my dreams with colour, images and ideas. I wake, excited to paint. The task is a team effort between my playful inner child and my somewhat takes life seriously, adult. We see a room, a wall, a canvas through the prism of how to make the space beautiful in an authentic, playful way. I paint the theme that excites me, she plays with the idea and colours, often with mediums, any which way she fancies.
It can be a wild ride. When the finished painting satisfies our eye for beauty and fun, we upload it and hope it touches someone else too.
