Lidia’s work is predominantly in acrylics although she also dabbles in oils. Her work can best be described as abstract landscapes and seascapes.
Artworks: 25
What began as purely a hobby for Lidia, has now become a passion to create colourful abstracts of our vast and captivating landscape and seascape. Lidia doesn’t attempt to reproduce reality but rather capture the energy of the environment through its light, contrast and the ever changing colours provided by our diverse seasons. At times she likes to paint pure abstract pieces that reflect a synergy of colour and movement aimed at bringing a sense of calm relaxation to the viewer. Lidia especially loves the process of plying layers and textures with rich and creamy acrylics or oil paints on a canvas by using a variety of brushes and tools and then watching the painting come to life.
Lidia was born in Melbourne but over the last 25 years has made the picturesque region of Gippsland her home where she is surrounded by beautiful landscapes and seascapes. Although her background is in Human Resources and real estate, a self imposed early retirement gave her the opportunity to explore the creative side of her personality! Lidia is married to Rocco and a mum to Samuel and Kristian who give her much support and encouragement.
