I never leave home without a camera. It sits at the side of cafe tables at dinner, is around my neck at all times, always within arm’s reach as I try to catch the magic of light and how it illuminates what is before me. It’s part of me, and I love the portal it gives into capturing what I think are magic moments that others may think mundane.

I look to the light for inspiration, how it may illuminate something old and all too familiar and turn it into something special.
As a media photographer and national photo editor for over three decades, I’ve photographed Hollywood stars, politicians, war veterans, athletes and everyday people. I’ve been the first person at shocking crime scenes, felt both the dignified emotion at state funerals and Angus Young’s energy at an early AC/DC pub gig. My work has been and continues to be published daily in print and online nationally and overseas. Most recently I have been commissioned for photography of the Royal Botanic Gardens of Victoria book “Wonder” 175 Years of Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria. I receive commissions from various local and national clients as well as the National Library of Australia where my work is held in the National archives.
