I love nature and sharing this passion with the world through my paintings is such a joy to give.
I am a passionate lover of all things the natural world brings to us from a pink sky at dusk to a tiny purple native orchid, often missed for its size. Through my art I aim to express my love of Australian native flora and fauna. Endangered, rare, extinct or common species are the main characters of my work and are placed in each composition with rendered pen textures and often fluorescent water colour splashes, drips, or pointillist strokes applied to a wooden surface. Vibrant colour elements of iridescent metallic leaf along with distortions of scale I like to create fantastic and unique Australian landscapes.
I have been exhibiting since the age of 16, and whilst at art school started teaching private art classes to students of all ages, this is now accumulated to 29 years, and currently a Visual Art and Design teacher at Seaford Secondary College, Adelaide, S.A.
