Jenine’s journey into the world of art started in her childhood with simple pencil drawings. Jenine has been painting on and off since the 1980’s. Jenine started off in Oils, learning from her mother who taught her the basics. In 1995 she decided to try her hand at pastels and after a few months was selling and showing works on commission.
In 2007 she took up Oils again, she had to relearn her brush skills and she found she loved the medium. Jenine took some lessons with Alison Clark an award winning artist in wildlife. Jenine also took weekly drawing classes under Danielle Robertson at the Glen Eira Cheltenham Art Group. Recently she has have been experimenting in watercolour and mixed mediums and has produced a variety of pieces.
Jenine loves telling a story through art and has done a variety of work from portraits, trains, landscapes, seascapes and many animals and birds. Jenine received a highly commended from the Mentone & Mordialloc Art Society and a commended from the Wildlife Art Society of Australasia Inc.
Jenine is a member of the Wildlife Art Society of Australasia, The Australian Guild of Realist Artists and is available to take commissions.
