Mermaid Waters QLD
My work is figurative abstract, I am a spray painter by trade. My artwork has an honesty and I tend to paint from the experience. Most work I rotate to find something special I can define, then I’ll use the process of adding and subtracting to complete the image.

Biography
Originally from the Central Coast, NSW, Helen Holmes is a contemporary abstract artist who has called the Gold Coast home for over 20 years. Helen is a vehicle spray painter by trade. As result, her love of colour was enhanced by the many hours spent mixing paints and colour matching, and has carried itself over to her artwork.
Her paintings are vibrant acrylics and charcoal on board or canvas. Her work is sassy and fun with lots of energy. Helen was recently awarded first prize at The Trinity Lutheran College Annual Art and Craft Awards.
