The nickname was first used by my uncle when I was a youth. The years of that young stockman and dozer driver are now a distant memory and I now paint as ‘Greybeard’ that harsh country that is so familiar to me. I’m a mainly self-taught artist and I’m inspired in different ways by the works of Fred Williams and Arthur Boyd.
