Representational, but not realist artist, preferred mediums – watercolour, acrylic and graphite often with a sense of place in Tasmania. Typical subjects include ships birds, landscapes, buildings and industrial.

Having been an amateur artist most of my life I am a member of the Pittwater art Group and taken part in group exhibitions and a recent solo exhibition at the Stable Gallery in Moonah,Hobart. Having been trained in scientific drawing I combine this with a far looser sketching style to create basic designs that are worked up into watercolour and acrylic paintings or graphite drawings. To complete some of the designs I print them onto transfer paper and use a scraper blade and graphite pencils to further the design then print this onto watercolour paper to become a painting or to be completely reworked with Graphite pencils.
