Courtenay is a visual artist utilising many artistic tools across the creative spectrum from spray paint, brush, stencil, sculpture design and most recently focusing on fashion design. Inspired by vintage comic advertisements, religion, layering techniques of Basquiat, and the bright pop colours of Andy Warhol, Courtenay connects her art to the modern contemporary world with life growing up as a 90’s kid. Her trademark ‘CRT’ is derived from her nickname “Court”, and has become an ever-present symbol within the visual embodiment of her work. Courtenay sells her work across Australia and internationally. She is regularly commissioned to paint large-scale murals at cafes, bars, and local businesses across the Gold Coast and in Brisbane. Courtenay frequently collaborates with other local artists including artist Dion Parker, sculpture artist Clayton Blake and art trio District 23. Courtenay often exhibits in group exhibitions including Swell 2019, Melbourne CAMArt Show 2018, Art Gallery of NSW Belle Art Prize 2019, Sand Safari 2020 and many more.
