Carole is an Award winning Ocean Artist. Her main love is painting water, in particular the ocean and its inhabitants. She supports turtle rescue organisations with the sale of her turtle paintings.
Carole spent her early years in the UK, migrating to Australia at the age of 10. Even as a young child she was drawn to the ocean and began her coastal life not long after marrying. She began painting in 1994 after completing an art course at Dobell House when her children were very young. She initially started painting with soft pastels and called herself a Pastel Artist.
In 2014 Carole began experimenting with different mediums and put her beloved pastels down for a few years to focus on acrylics. She is now an accomplished artist in both mediums, also dabbling in clay and mixed media.
Carole’s style is realism and while she is able to competently paint different genres, her love is painting water, particularly the ocean and its inhabitants. She is a member of the exclusive Ocean Artists Society based in California and one of her turtle works resides in its permanent collection.
Carole is also a member of the Pastel Society of Australia, Pastel Society of America, Australian Guild of Realist Artists and Qld Wildlife Artists Society.
Her work is represented in corporate and private collections throughout Australia and overseas.
