Rachel Griffiths is a multi-award winning Australian actor and content maker. After making her debut in the iconic Muriel’s Wedding, her film credits include The Rookie, Blow, Hacksaw Ridge and Hilary & Jackie for which she was nominated for an Academy Award.
In television, Rachel stared in the acclaimed HBO series Six Feet Under, Brothers & Sisters and Amazon’s the Wilds. In 2018 she directed and produced Ride Like a Girl, the highest grossing Australian film of the year. Recently she co-created, EP’d and starred in the political drama, Total Control recently completing its second season. This year Rachel executive produced her first factual series also hosting ABC’s – Finding the Archibald. She was awarded an AM order of Australia last year and currently sits on the board of ACMI, the world’s leading museum of the moving image also acting as Patron of Bus stop films and an ambassador for the Melbourne international film festival.
Daniel Browning is an Aboriginal journalist, radio broadcaster, sound artist and writer. Currently, he presents The Art Show on Radio National and is the ABC’s Editor of Indigenous Radio. A visual arts graduate, Daniel is also a widely published freelance writer on the arts and culture. He is a former guest editor of Artlink Indigenous, an occasional series of the quarterly Australian contemporary arts journal. He is the inaugural curator of Blak Box, an award-winning, architect-designed sound pavilion commissioned by Urban Theatre Projects, the multiform arts company based in western Sydney. Daniel is a descendant of the Bundjalung and Kullilli peoples of far northern New South Wales and south-western Queensland.
Maria Stoljar is the host and producer of the Talking with Painters podcast and creator of the Talking with Painters YouTube channel. She is also a painter herself with about 16 years’ experience, having trained at Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney. Over the last 5 years she has interviewed over 100 leading, mid-career and emerging Australian painters bringing their stories to listeners around the world. In 2020, the podcast was listed in leading British auction house Christie’s ‘Best Art World podcasts to listen to now’ and it’s regularly listed in the top 5 podcasts in the Apple Podcasts Australian Visual Arts Charts. During the Covid lockdown periods she appeared live on Instagram in her shows ‘The Art Quiz’ and ‘Lockdown Live’. She has also recently been interviewing leading artists in an Art Gallery Society online series ‘The Artist Speaks’ through the Art Gallery of NSW.
