The Hunter is a graphite drawing which has been executed with four different types of graphite - your usual pencil, powdered graphite, water soluble graphite and graphite putty. Many layers were used to build the depth into the darkest darks. Inspiration was taken from the Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling, Bagheera the black panther was used as my imaginary muse. The work took more hours than I care to admit to, because each mark that you make with graphite can't really be removed properly, so a sure hand and eye is imperative !
