This work is an oil painting capturing a day at the beach and the light and shadows that play on its sand and water. The paint is deliberately loosely and quickly applied to add to the sense of movement. Inspired by Australian Impressionists of the past, this work is an investigation into light and colour. The work is painted on board and is professionally framed in a floating frame (the work sits level to the frame but does not touch the frame itself).
A Day at the Beach
This painting captures the energy and movement of the ocean and people enjoying being in it's presence. The paint work is loose and spontaneous and to add an energy of it being a reflection of one moment.
